Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th, 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mom was mother at home. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began performing and singing from a young age. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first major role when she got a part as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It up and It's Broken by the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the oldest daughter in the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in 2008. The book revealed that McCormick was close to losing her virginity while on stage of the show during the fifth season, when she was a victim to Barry Williams. The time was when she was 16, and he was 19. It was a time that would have not been ideal for us, she told me.
